Tampere Academic Symphony Orchestra TASO and TAMK Music present the Opera Gala -concert in co-production on Wednesday 26th of March 2025 at 7 p.m. in Tampere University Hall. Program consists of the French and Italian opera gems by composers Georges Bizet, Gaetano Donizetti, Jacques Offenbach, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini and Umberto Giordano. The performance includes both arias and orchestral works from the operas Carmen, The Daughter of the Regiment, Don Pasquale, The Tales of Hoffmann, La Traviata, Don Carlos, La Bohème, Turandot and Andrea Chénier. You will hear rising opera stars Aliina Hiljanen, Emmi Latvanne, Aapo Suominen, Krista Astrid Schröter, Petrus Marjanen, Veera Hölsö, Risto Piirainen and Marjaana Ritanen as soloists. The program will be conducted by Kimmo Tullila.
