Student's Tampere ry has arranged affordable temporary accommodation for students who do not yet have a place to live when their studies begin. A valid student ID will be necessary upon check-ins.

Dream Hostel autumn 2025

Dream hostel is located near the Tampere University City centre campus (Åkerlundinkatu 2). Temporary accommodation at Dream Hostel costs 29 euros / night. The reduced price is only valid for shared 16 person rooms. Special priced rooms are limited in the weekends. In exceptional circumstances, Dream Hostel reserves the right to announce other individual dates when the price is not valid. Please present your valid student id upon check-in. We recommend that you bring your own lock.

Cancellation terms for low-cost accommodation entitled to TEMP2025 code:

The customer can cancel the reservation free of charge 1 day before the start date of the reservation by 2 p.m. After that the hostel has the right to charge the customer the price of one day. If the customer cancels the nights in the middle of the accommodation, the hostel has the right to charge the price of the next day's accommodation.

Opened in Spring 2025, the Uumen Micro Hotel at the Finlayson area offers high-quality and affordable accommodation in the heart of Tampere. As a student benefit for Autumn 2025, Uumen Hotel offers a 10% discount on individual stays and a 20% discount on weekday stays (Monday to Friday) in a Double room suitable for 1–2 guests. Regular prices for Double rooms (before student discounts) start at €49 per night.

  • Uumen Hotel also offers student discounts for longer stays. For inquiries and quotes for bookings over one week, contact customer service directly at: info@uumenhotels.fi 

Room bookings can be made by providing the discount code by phone, email, or by entering it in the ‘Add promotional code’ field in the booking calendar on Uumen Hotel’s website. The hotel reserves the right to verify student status upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings made with codes TEMP2025 & TEMPW2025 can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before the check-in date. After that, Uumen Hotel reserves the right to charge the price of one night's stay. If a guest cancels part of their stay during their reservation, the hotel also has the right to charge for the following night's accommodation.
